SKU Code: ABACH/DUHR2/HW
This hand-wound, classic WWII-pattern Aeschbach* military watch, featuring a small subsidiary seconds dial, is inspired by designs issued by the German Luftwaffe under the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM / German Air Ministry). These watches were issued to Luftwaffe pilots on a mission-by-mission basis and returned to the quartermaster upon arrival back at base. Based on Aeschbach's WWII designs, this model is nearly indistinguishable from the originals, retaining an acrylic crystal and an upgraded 17-jewel mechanical movement (from the original 15-jewel). While maintaining its historical appearance, it includes subtle updates for improved durability and everyday functionality.
Original WWII watches for the Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine, and Luftwaffe were produced by numerous Swiss and German manufacturers, including Aeschbach, founded in 1923 and still operational today. Collecting German WWII military watches can be challenging due to the sheer number of suppliers—over 100 manufacturers at the time. A comprehensive list of these manufacturers is available on Military Watches.
This model features a solid, military-grade 316L stainless steel case, subsidiary seconds dial, hacking function, black dial, and luminous markings.
